Monthly meet-up on Saturday

Just to let you know that the KWWN will be meeting in Tralee Library on this Saturday from 11:30-1pm.  

We've had a wonderful summer touring the great county of Kerry sharing our work in The Carnegie Kenmare, The Seanchaí Centre Listowel, Dingle Bookshop and Tralee and Killarney Libraries.  We also performed on Culture Night in the Carnegie Arts Centre in Kenmare.  We've had new members join us at each event, so if you missed the opportunity to do so, come along to the meeting and get involved.  We'd love to meet you and hear about your work.

We're planning an Anthology, workshops and more readings so watch this space!

Marian Pender

Originally from County Galway, Marian Pender now resides in County Kerry and is a founder member of Scríobhnóirí Sliabh Luachra.  Marian writes short stories, flash fiction and the occasional poem, regularly enters competitions and recently won the Purple Pumpkin Publishing short story prize.

Her extensive land and sea travels greatly influence her work which can be seen in her upcoming book and anthologies.  A trans-ocean sailor, curious cook and gardener, Marian delights in the inspirational settings where she spends much time writing.

Culture Night... join us in Kenmare

Join us on Culture Night (Friday 19 Sept) at the Carnegie Arts Centre, Kenmare for an evening of poetry and prose from 8:15pm! The evening will feature an Open Mic session, so bring along some of your own work too and share it with an appreciative audience.
